Trip to the Cottage

This week in Nashville, thousands of curly-haired Irish dancers and their slightly psychotic parents are participating in the North American Irish Dance Championships.  At the ceili competitions, (team dance with eight dancers), lucky audience members will see the Peat Blogger's favorite ceili dance; "Trip to the Cottage" about 400 TIMES!. . . . I am totally serious.

After about the 50th time many of the dads perform their own dance called: "A Trip to the Pub"

At Irish Fest we have something new this year - a much better version of "A Trip to the Cottage", that actually involves a REAL Cottage (sans the Irish Dancers).  The Irish Fest Cottage is our new location to enjoy a spot of Jamo.

Because of the growing popularity of the Irish Fest Jameson Lounge over the past three years, the bright folks at headquarters decided to add a second location for fans of the "wee drop".  Hence the Cottage

Formerly known as the "Cottage Market", and located just north of the Tipperary stage, the new Cottage will feature Jameson products as well as Delicata Wine and perhaps a malted brew of some sort.  There will be a seating area indoors and out, and new this year - patrons will be able to take their drinks with them as they head out to listen to another one of Irish Fest's great acts.

Wow! Do we have our fingers on the pulse of the Jamo nation or what?

The Cottage - reason #17,361 to come to Milwaukee Irish Fest this year
